The University of Oklahoma has a particularly important history in TTP research. The Oklahoma TTP-HUS Registry created a population-based cohort that has supported decades of work on epidemiology, outcomes, disparities, and the long-term consequences of TTP.
Deirdra Terrell, PhD has contributed extensively to TTP epidemiology, patient-reported outcomes, racial health disparities, and survivorship research. The clinical hematology program also includes Mohamad Khawandanah, MD, whose expertise includes platelet disorders, hemolytic anemia, benign hematology, and coagulation disorders.
