ECU Health and the Brody School of Medicine provide USTMA patients and research participants access to an academic hematology program serving eastern North Carolina. The site includes Aakriti Arora, MD and Darla Liles, MD, with experience in adult benign hematology and complex blood disorders.

Its participation in USTMA helps extend access to rare-disease research beyond the largest metropolitan referral centers and strengthens the geographic reach of the consortium.
