Dr. Tiwari hails from Pimpalgaon Baswant, India. He graduated medical school from the B. J. Govt. Medical College, Pune, India. He then did visiting clinical rotation in hematology and medical oncology with Dr. Vivek Sharma, at the Brown Cancer Center in Louisville, KY where his interest in hematology and medical oncology peaked. After joining his residency at the Loyola Medicine-MacNeal Hospital he continued to pursue his passion to specialize in HemOnc. During this time, he did his research on thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) with Dr. Spero Cataland, who he believes to have played an important role in him being motivated to seek continued improvement and remain humble.
Dr. Tiwari’s journey to has been shaped by the challenges and opportunities that have come his way through his journey from rural India to a HemOnc fellowship at OU, and he pledges to remain committed to his ideals of dedication, empathy, compassion, and hardwork to provide best possible care to our patients.
In his free time, he likes to read Hindi literature, and spend time outdoors with his family and friends
